Autumn Skincare: Why You Should Switch Products

You cannot use the same products all year round — it is a big mistake. Your face does not change, but the weather does, and after the summer UV your skin needs different care. In autumn it is especially important to review your cleansers, peptide creams, sun protection and patches, and for skin with couperose to switch to gentle professional care.

It's not just your wardrobe that changes for autumn

Why, you may ask, if my face does not change? Your face does not, but the weather does. That is why your care should also change with the season.

Typical skincare mistakes

• Couperose without gentle care. From autumn to spring, skin with couperose needs very gentle care, and only with professional products.
• Harsh cleansing. Having bought a cleanser with a harsh formula (on a blogger's advice, of course), we wash with it all summer — and by autumn we have pigmentation. We remove eye make-up with the same product — and end up with over-dried skin around the eyes.
• Peptides on dehydrated skin. You bought an expensive "anti-wrinkle" cream with peptides, but the wrinkles only get deeper: in summer the skin suffers from UV radiation and "dries out" like leaves in autumn. The peptide will not work and will play a cruel joke on you.
• Protection and tanning at the same time. If you have hyperpigmentation, you must not apply a cream with SPF to your face and a tan enhancer to your body. Make up your mind: protection or tan enhancement?
• Patches for hours. Eye patches sometimes do more harm than good. Read their ingredients carefully. You must not wear them for hours.

Choose professional products that match the season and the condition of your skin — with them, the skin recovers quickly after summer.
