Lip Filler: How Many ml and How Often?

For a first lip correction, even for a small volume, 1 ml of filler will not be too much: the first millilitre mostly goes into hydration, filling the hollows in the lips and smoothing out wrinkles. The procedure can be repeated after 6 months or after 2 years — the product dissolves differently in everyone. If you are not happy with the result, the filler is removed with the enzyme hyaluronidase.

How much filler you need the first time

In most cases, the first millilitre goes into hydration and filling the hollows in the lips, and smoothing out wrinkles. So 1 ml is definitely not too much.

What happens if I no longer want lip injections

Nothing. Or rather, everything will be the way it used to be: the product is eliminated from the body, and your lips will look the same as before the procedure.

Can you be allergic to the product

Allergy to hyaluronic acid, on which fillers are based, is not observed: it is similar to our own acid found in the body. Allergy does occur to lidocaine, which is included in some products. If, for example, you have had dental treatment with an injection before and no allergy appeared, there is nothing to be afraid of.

How often lips need to be injected

As often as you like. Some people come back after 2 years, others after 6 months. Everything is individual, and the product dissolves differently in everyone.

How to remove filler from the lips

If for some reason you are not happy with the result, the filler can be removed with an enzyme — hyaluronidase.

You cannot remove the old gel and immediately get new lips: 2–3 weeks must pass between the hyaluronidase procedure and injecting new filler.
